About Me
About Me
I am a dedicated and skilled licensed Psychologist specializing in individual and couple therapy. I maintain a private practice in West Los Angeles, California. I am a caring professional with superior communication (humor) skills. I’m also an Interpersonally-oriented psychotherapist with over 15 years experience as an Existential and Dynamic Psychotherapist. For several years I have served as a Core Faculty Professor at the California Graduate Institute and at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles, specializing in Gerontology (human aging).
I’m currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of expertise are successful aging, relationship issues and existential issues (the issues that we all confront as we navigate our lives).
In addition, I am a clinical member of both the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and the Los Angeles County Psychological Association. Further, I supervise interns as a Certified Supervisor. I present at conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of death and dying, successful aging, and its psychological ramifications.
In addition, I teach graduate students and therapists in the areas of clinical practice and caring for the older population, specifically the growing cohort of the Baby Boomers, who will reach age 65 in 2011. My therapeutic approach is to provide support, insight, and goals to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth for which they’re striving.
